Timeline and Permitting
Project construction is anticipated to take approximately 18 months, beginning in mid-2022 and becoming operational by the end of 2023.
Prior to start of construction, the project is required to obtain several permits and approvals. The primary approval is the special use permit from Grundy County. An application for a special use permit was submitted in October 2020, with a public hearing before the Board of Zoning Appeals scheduled for November 17, 2020. Grundy County also requires a site development permit and a building permit prior to construction. In addition, approvals are required from various federal and state agencies, depending on final Project design.
